[Action] Enter Akimichi D. Luffy!

BAIKA NO JUTSU!!!

[Anyone who’s near the edge of town might hear the echo of Luffy’s voice before a huge boulder sized ball comes rolling through town at high speeds, accidentally crushing anything that isn’t an actual living squishy being in it’s path.]

MOVE! MOVE MOVE MOOOOOOVE! [Yes. That giant boulder thing is actually talking. And the voice that's coming out of it is Luffy's. Luckily he has enough control to the point that he won’t accidentally crush anyone. Well. Hopefully. He might just... nearly crush a few people that’s all.]

I NEED TO GET TO THE STORE!

[Luffy actually had a somewhat valid reason for his brashness this time though. He was starving and as a member of the Akimichi clan, that was never a good thing. Especially in his case. But feel free to try and stop him, wtf, or whatever. He might even slow down and try to talk to some peeps if they're consistent.]

[Voice]

[Well after that whole mess is over, Luffy is at the grocery store, happily munching on whatever foods he can get his hands on. He decides to go ahead and open his journal to ask the general public a rather general question.]

Guys! [He says with a mouth full of food.]

If you could only eat one kind of meat for the rest of your life... what kind of meat would you eat?

[OOC: Luffy has been AU’d to Naruto’s world for the event! And has become a member of the Akimmichi clan. If you aren't aware the Akimichi clan are basically a family of people from Naruto's world who converts their body fat into Chakra to use special techniques. The problem with Luffy is that his metabolism is way too fast for him to properly gain weight. So in this AU he's considered a failure amongst his clan, and instead of trying to gain weight, he constantly eats throughout the day. Attempting to convert what little fat that does manage to stick into chakra.

Naruto "Castmates": To keep things simple, he probably doesn't have... that big of a relationship with any of you guys. He managed to become a Chuunin after timeskip, but during the first half he was put on a fail Four-Man Team (since they were too fail to three man) that didn't really get anywhere. =I

He might not be the best Akimichi around, but his Taijutsu techniques are effective and his strength is far above average for his age. His ninjutsu is okay, but his genjutsu is terrible. His chakra pool is huge but of course it's not as stupid as Naruto. As far as what KIND of jutsu he uses I'm thinking short to mid range.

As a side note, I'm still doing Script Frenzy so I'm gonna be slow!

Edit: Oh yeah! I forgot about this but Luffy has been staying at Community Housing Building 1, Floor 7 and rooooom #35. If that hasn't been taken. If not any other room on the Seventh floor.]

I worked really hard to get to where I am! At first I was so terrible at being an Akimichi... I could barely keep up with any of you guys! And now, just as I'm figuring out a system that makes me decent, the Malnosso are just going to snap their fingers in a few days and make everything for nothing!?

[That he identifies with the Akimichi clan nearly makes him wince. Not because it makes him think of Chouji - though there is that - but because it instantly puts into perspective where Luffy is coming from. For a second, he lets himself buy into the lie.

To be an Akimichi... as thin as he is it would have been a constant struggle. Would be so still. It's a feat that he would've been given his forehead protector.

The forehead protector...]

[His hand snaps out, fingers grazing the metal plate.]

You earned this?

[He crosses his arms.]

Of course I did! There's no other way to get it is there?

[Of course not. He gives Luffy a brief grin before turning his head and his shoulders back towards the end of the hall.]

Then come with me.

Alright... [Followiiing!] Where are we going?

[To the forest there, in as open a spot as they can get while still having the cover of some trees. He won't say anything else until they get there.]

Behind the building? Man, you are so weird today.

[But he follows nonetheless.]

[He's being obliging, letting that go. It's weird to think someone he barely knows could know him so well...

These trees aren't like the ones at home, but they remind me of it anyways.

I really don't remember you as being from my world. I'd say I'm sorry about that, but I'm pretty sure there's a guy just like you who's worked as hard for something else he believes in.

Even if I don't know him well either, that wouldn't be fair to him.

But everything you've done... everything you remember. I don't want you to walk away from here thinking it meant nothing. Show me what you can do, or tell me, if you want.

[There's room here to show off, if that's what he wants. Either way, it ends with Shikamaru pointing a finger at Luffy's chest.]

But I'll take your word for it if you don't. If you say that you're a Shinobi of the Leaf, then that makes you my comrade now.

And I never forget a comrade. I won't forget you.

[...wow. You know, those kinds of words are nothing he expected to ever hear from you Shikamaru. Comrade. He had never really felt like much of a comrade to anyone. Not with how weak he seemed to be compared to everyone who was constantly getting stronger by what seemed like the minute.

Even though it's been years, he's still not the best but.... he strived really hard to just become decent. And he was proud of that accomplishment. But he never really got much recognition for it.

[He suddenly pulls out a napkin and blows into it, sobbing.]

Sh-Shikamaru. [Sniff, sob, cry.] That's the nicest thing you ever said to me--! [Blows his nose again.]

[What what. HE DIDN'T SAY IT TO BE NICE. He shuffles awkwardly, not sure what to do with this display. It's like being around Gai or Lee.

[Oh, so he is going to take him up on that. All right. He slips into a defensive stance, which can just as easily turn into a crouch if need be.]

[And he's going to take on a more serious tone now. His hands go into a clone seal formation.]

Kage Bushin no Jutsu! [He might not be like Naruto but he can make a decent number of clones without being exhausted. The only problem is that well... they look like this]

[...Naruto taught you that, didn't he. No one else would and let him use it with clones coming out looking that stupid.]

[But all right. He's dealing with Kage Bunshin, or Shadow Clones. A technique he's seen his friend use often enough. They look like garbage, but he won't underestimate them.]

Kage Nui no Jutsu! [Immediately dropping into a crouch, he makes a rat, then a bird seal. His shadow stretches fast, splitting off into tendril after tendril that take on another dimension and raise from the ground, points sharp.

They'll all start coiling now, to stab. Just gotta hit them once and then they're no good, right? It's probably worth mentioning there are more shadow needles then there are clones. He said he was an Akimichi. I must be prepared for Akimichi jutsu.]

[He actually manages to pop most of them, but there's still a few stragglers that manage to jump out of the way of them, but they won't last for that long.]

Heh. It's a good thing I ate before this. [Not... that much of a surprise since he's always eating. He reaches into one of his ninja pouches (he has a good bit of them) and pulls out two paper tags. But what he does with it is strange. He ignites them, putting one on his back and one on his chest.

But you're right Shikamaru you should watch out for Akimichi jutsu. Because Luffy is doing the hand seals for one.]

Baika no Jutsu! [And poof! Suddenly a human boulder! He rolls straight towards Shikamaru at full speed, but just before he reaches shadow tendrils he yells out another technique. Which... isn't really an official technique at all.] EXPLOSIVE HUMAN BULLET CANON!

[And when the tag on his back explodes it launches him forward into the air, over the tendrils and right at Shika. Yes, it hurts, but he tries to ignore the pain. And while he's in midair, that's when the second tag that was on his chest explodes. But this one is a flash bomb tag. It causes a bright flash of light to engulf the general area around Luffy. It won't really effect him since he's in the ball but Shikamaru on the other hand, would need to quickly shield his eyes. Luffy knows he will likely dodge, but he's trying to temporarily blind him to make it harder to dodge the next time.]
